Urban Environmental Management Toolkit

 

The Urban Environmental Management (UEM) Toolkit is designed and structured as an evolving tool to assist development practitioners, policy makers and the Bank’s Task Team Leaders (project managers) in addressing some of the important Expanded Brown Agenda issues in the cities of developing countries. The UEM Toolkit aims to provide access to the specialized and evolving knowledge on a select urban environmental issue as key readings (published documents, reports, papers and powerpoint presentations), videoed documentation, case studies, and relevant resources available on the Internet. The Toolkit specifically focuses on four important urban environmental areas as follows:

  1. Strategic Urban Environmental Planning

  2. Urban Solid Waste Management

  3. Wastewater Management and Sanitation

  4. Urban Environmental Indicators
