Modules:

• Training Module: Models of Aggregation
  This module presents different models of aggregation and the process of aggregation including drivers, constraints, and the role of the different players.

Events:

• E-conference on Town Water Supply and Sanitation, November 22 - December 17, 2004. Online.
  The event enabled participants to share their perspectives on a report on Town Water Supply and Sanitation.

• Joint World Bank-WaterAid Workshop: Modes of Engagement with Public Sector Water Supply Providers in Developing Countries.

• Workshop: Market Development for Water Utility Management by International Companies in the Europe and Central Asia Region . May 6, 2004. Washington, D.C.
  The workshop aimed to increase market participation beyond the international already active operators, and expand the market for private /public sector inputs.

• Franchising in Water Supply and Sanitation. December 3-4, 2003. Lagos, Nigeria.
  The franchising workshop followed up on findings in the report  "Can the Principles of Franchising be Used to Improve WSS Services? A Preliminary Analysis"

• Private Sector Participation in Municipal Water Services in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia . July 2-3, 2003, Vienna, Austria.
  This conference focused on issues including facing a crisis of confidence in private sector participation in the water sector and the private sector participation in municipal water services.

• AFRICASAN Conference , July 29 - August 1, 2002, Johannesburg, South Africa. The conference aimed to accelerate the progress of sanitation and hygiene work in Africa in fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goals and the aims of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD).

• International Conference on Town Water Supply and Sanitation. June 11-15, 2002, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
  The event aimed to present knowledge on town WSS developed over the past years in various parts of the world by various organizations.

• Workshop on Improving Efficiency and Competition of WSS Provision in Medium and Small Municipalities in Brazil. June 5-6, 2002, Brazil.
  The workshop presented topics such as the regulatory framework, processes and experiences in private sector participation.

• Workshop on Private Sector Participation-Based Reform of the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector in Africa. February 13-15, 2002, Dakar, Senegal.
  The event focused on private sector participation and was attended by representatives of multilateral and bilateral development agencies.
