 China flagChina: The Liuzhou Environment Management Project for China aims to improve the environmental conditions in Liuzhou through improved wastewater treatment, sanitation control, solid waste management, and industrial wastewater pollution control. The project aims to develop a comprehensive wastewater collection and treatment system in Liuzhou.The Feature Story on Management Options for Public Toilets in Liuzhou addresses municipal sanitation, which includes $8.82 million for public toilets. 
 Bolivia flagBolivia: The El Alto Bolivia Pilot Project (EAPP) (2,110k pdf), supported by the Water and Sanitation Program, is an example of a pilot project aimed at transferring the condominial water and sewage system from Brazil to Bolivia and testing its applicability in the context of private sector participation in service provision. Since its inception in 1998, the EAPP has provided condominial water connections to 1,977 households in eight neighborhoods of El Alto, and condominial sewage connections to 4,050 households in nine neighborhoods of El Alto.

The Feature Story on Urban Water Sector Reform in Senegal discusses that the Water Sector Project resulted in significantly better services and financial health for the sector. 
 flag BrazilBrazil: The Low Income Sanitation Technical Assistance Project aims at achieving integrated, and demand-driven water supply, and sanitation services delivery to the urban poor, within the participating local government agencies. The Feature Storyon Bringing Water Supply and Sanitation to Brazil highlights that PROSANEAR (program of community participation and low-cost technology bringing water and sanitation to Brazil's urban poor) supported the scaling up of a new approach to delivering water supply and sanitation services to the urban poor in Brazil.
