Mongolia: The Feature Story on Hygiene and Low Cost Sanitation Improvement for the Urban Poor in Ulaanbaatar is about the initial step in advancing sanitation and hygiene in the Ger areas. The World Bank has provided technical assistance to the Mongolian Government through the Sanitation, Hygiene and Wastewater Support Service (SWAT). 
 Morocco flagMorocco: The Feature Story on Promoting Rural Sanitation and Hygiene emphasizes that in rural provinces of the country sanitation coverage is low compared to the relatively high standards of social development. To address these issues the Moroccan government has developed the Rural Water and Sanitation Project for which the World Bank has provided a $60 million IBRD loan.

Lao: The  Provincial Infrastructure Project assists to strengthen local institutional capacity and rehabilitate and upgrade critical basic infrastructure of its remote northern provinces. One component supports rural water supply and sanitation by promoting hygiene awareness, as well as forming user groups to manage and maintain the facilities provided under the project.
