WASHINGTON, February 26, 2008 - The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:
IBRD Loan: USD$24.25 million
Terms: Maturity = 17 years; Grace = 5 years.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main objectives of the project are: (a) to raise incomes, (b) to increase access to potable water and basic sanitation; and (c) to improve health outcomes. Activities would center on targeted areas of Alto Solimoes.
