2008 Events TSPN Conference - Assessing Costs, Benefits and Impacts of Compliance with Agriculture, Forestry and Food related Standards  Berlin, Dec 9 - 10 , 2008. The purpose of the conference was to highlight an array of different approaches/ methodologies currently being applied for the assessment of costs, benefits and impacts of standards, examining their applicable scope, advantages and disadvantages and identifying major challenges in their application and interpretation of results. The meeting was organized by the Trade Standards Practitioners Network with the support of the World Bank, GTZ and other organizations. High Level Conference on Government Use of Voluntary Standards, Geneva, October 16 - 17, 2008 During the conference, experiences where voluntary social, environmental and food safety standards are being used by public authorities (at local, regional and national levels) around the world to deliver on their public policy objectives would be illustrated.
