Forum on logistics in Morocco – Casablanca

The Forum was organized by the ministry of equipment and transport in collaboration with the World Bank, and brought together all actors of logistics to discuss the sector challenges, based on the findings and recommendations of the study on "Trade logistics and competitiveness in Morocco".  

The Forum raised awareness on the importance of logistics for the competitiveness of the Moroccan economy. The diagnostic and recommendations made were based on the results of field research in Morocco as well as an analysis of logistics chains conducted in industrial sectors. This study also took into consideration the deployment of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for international trade, which contributed to refined recommendations.

One of the main important outcomes of this joint study is an establishment of a steering committee by the Ministry of Equipment and Transport comprised of key private sector institutions and public sector departments. The main objective of the dissemination of report is to raise awareness strengthen dialogue between main actors in the sector of trade logistics.
