WBI's External Advisory Council (EAC), established in 1997, had its first annual meeting in January 1998. It has met eight times since then.
The current Council has fourteen members from eleven countries. They include cabinet ministers, members of parliament, presidents of corporations, foundations, universities and NGOs, and private sector leaders. They are an outstanding resource to WBI and the Bank (click here for a list of current EAC Members).
Because of their diverse backgrounds and experiences, members bring a variety of perspectives to the EAC Annual Meetings, which take place in Washington DC. Their candid feedback on WBI's work, and recommendations for future directions have contributed significantly to shaping WBI' programs and helped the Institute advance towards achieving its goal of becoming a world class learning institution.
