Education Learning Program: Although the five-year World Links for Development (WorLD) pilot project has ended, the World Links (NGO) continues to develop and deliver teacher training programs at the school level in a growing number of developing countries around the world. The pilot began in 1997 to assist developing country youth to enter the information age and participate effectively in the global economy of the next millennium. The World Bank Institute’s Education program helps mainstream the lessons learned from the pilot project through a series of global dialogues and workshops for policymakers and practitioners.
