EASUR has been conducting a Global Development Learning Network (GDLN) program titled “Connecting Cities to Global Knowledge and Resources.” This program aims to facilitates city-to-city (C2C) knowledge sharing on strategic issues among local governments, especially among City Development Strategies (CDS) participating cities in Asia by creating an enabling environment for cities to exchange their hands-on knowledge each other. This program has three key features: i) Wholesaling approach for scaling up capacity building for local governments; ii) integration with lending operations; and iii) Hands-on capacity building through city-to-city knowledge sharing. Asia Learning Reflections Video Series: Interviews with Task Managers The videos in the "Reflections" series provide Task Managers the opportunity to look back and reflect upon their
experiences on projects across their region. In the interviews, the Task Managers reply -- with unrehearsed answers -- to the thought-provoking questions on key project and development issues posed by Mr. Narendra Sharma, East Asia & the Pacific-South Asia Regional Learning Advisor. Some of the valuable knowledge shared in these reflective conversations is not captured or recorded in any other place in the Bank. These video interviews are powerful, stand-alone learning tools. They can be used to initiate a class discussion, a brown bag lunch, or for anyone to use in self-directed
learning. These videos have been placed on the World Bank's regional Intranet to share with colleagues across the organization.
