    The KNA MENA Distance Learning Center (DLC) is a member of the Global Development Learning Network, one of more than 70 DLCs (or GDLN Affiliates) world-wide that use advanced information and communication technologies to connect people working in development, and to increase and diversify the exchange of knowledge between the MENA region, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and beyond.

    With a focus on videoconference-based exchanges and applying a "blended learning" approach (involving a mixture of pedagogies, learning activities, technologies and delivery modes to best suit learners), KNA-MENA DLC and the GDLN organize global and regional knowledge sharing exercises for teams of decision-makers, academics, practitioners and international experts.  Learning is facilitated “just in time,” over time, at times and places that suit participants best, allowing them to integrate learning into their work, and at the point when teams are grappling with implementation issues.  Click on the GDLN’s “story of the week” archive to read examples of how the GDLN links the world through learning.

    To meet demand from the MENA region for knowledge sharing and learning programs, we build partnerships with local, regional and international organizations. Click here  to learn more about how you can partner with us.

    The KNA-MENA vision is:

    • To deliver high quality, appropriate and well-focused content through regular “blended learning” training programs, workshops, meetings and development dialogues;
    • To promote activities on the creation and sharing of knowledge on development issues in the  MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa;
    • To support the capacity building of national and regional development institutions to ensure the sustainability of knowledge creation and knowledge sharing activities;
    • To develop local and regional partnerships with “content providers” in public and private educational institutions, local governments, NGOs, and private firms.
