This course is already closed. Join us in January 2009 in Vienna for a one-week course covering the fundamental issues of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for programs and projects.
The course is organized by the World Bank Institute Evaluation Group– with experience teaching over 4,000 participants across 60 countries in the last decade - and taught by senior evaluation experts. Combining both attention to M&E theory and practical applications, the 30 participants completing the course will gain knowledge and experience on M&E tools, techniques, and resources needed for M&E planning, organizing, and/or managing programs and projects. The Joint Vienna Institute (JVI), in central Vienna, is the host site for the course and the location of the accommodations. The World Bank Institute and the Joint Vienna Institute welcome you to spend a week focusing on building your M&E knowledge and skills. |
Typical participants range in age and experience, but are most often mid-career professionals usually employed as project managers and directors, M&E specialists, technical specialists, and researchers. This course is also useful for consumers and clients of evaluations, such as government employees who must hire evaluators or review their work.
