| Â | The University of Tsukuba, with a grant from the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program, has established an interdisciplinary master's program in policy management, which started in April 1995. The objective of the Program in Policy Management (PPM) is to provide, within the two-year time frame, training and the necessary skills for the conception, | Â | | design, and execution of development policies.Â
The Program in Policy Management is part of the Graduate School of International Political Economy (GSIPE) of the University of Tsukuba. Â
The JJ/WBGSP's objective is to help create an international community of highly trained professionals working in the field of economic and social development. The World Bank expects the scholars to return to their home country on completion of their study programs and apply their enhanced knowledge and skills to help accelerate the pace of economic and social development.
