Job Description

Heading three sections within the Special Projects and Coordination Branch at NIDC, namely the SADF Secretariat, Regional Office Coordination Section and Information Technology Section.

Work Experience
  • South Asian Development Fund (SADF) Secretariat.
    The objective of the SADF is to provide finances for industrial development, poverty alleviation, protection of environment, and balance of payments support and for the promotion of economic projects in the region.
  • Regional Office Coordination Section.
    Coordination of all the activities of four Regional offices of NIDC with the central office in the development financing in the far Western, Midwestern, Western and Eastern development region of Nepal.
  • Information Technology Section.
    Implementation and Operation of SME Center in association with Association of Development Financing Institution for Asia and the Pacific, ADFIAP, Manila, Philippines, an Internet based business portal for small and medium enterprise (SME).
    Project Implementation: application software related projects for NIDC's process automation, arranging workshops and training for internal staff on computer application, creating awareness on information technology and Internet application for Private Sector Development Financing Process. Publication of internally circulated IT Bulletin (editor-in-chief). Resource person for teaching Project Management in-house training to Project Officers.

  • Masters in Engineering, Infrastructure Planning and Management (focused on Development Decisions), School of Civil Engineering, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, 1997 (under JJ/WBGSP fellowship awarded in 1995).
  • Bachelors of Civil Engineering, University of Roorkee, India, 1986.

  • Creative Decisions Foundation (CDF), USA Grant to participate and present paper on The 7th International Symposium on Analytic Hierarchy Process - ISAHP 2003, August 7-9, 2003 at Bali, Indonesia.
  • AOTS, Japan, Training Award, Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), Japan and Center for the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC), Japan, January 2001.
  • DFID, UK Grant to Participate and Present paper in 26th and 28th WEDC Conference (2000 & 2002) at Dhaka and Calcutta, organized by Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC), Loughborough University, UK.
  • Best Performance Award with Cash Prize and Letter of Appreciation with Cash Prize, Nepal Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) for the year 1992/93 and 1999/2000 respectively.
