  • Database collection within communities with a view to updating SDC’s Website community database. This information is to inform the planning process of the various communities (and hence country as a whole). This includes formulation of Community Development Plans.
  • Building Participatory Structures for Governance and Development: facilitating formation of Community Development Committees and Development Area Committees, community meetings and activities of community groups
  • Facilitation of strategic intervention which should provide an avenue for sustainable development. This involves the introduction of specific stakeholders or partners in development within communities and deeper involvement of stakeholders within communities themselves
  • Introduction of funding agencies (including partners) to communities to implement (especially) priority programmes/projects
