How to Join the JJ/WBGSP Network of the Host Universities
The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (Regular program) works with a network of around forty renowned academic institutions from all over the world. The institutions cooperating with the JJ/WBGSP commit to work toward the achievement of the program’s objectives through hosting JJ/WBGSP scholars, and contributing to the cost of the scholarship with a tuition fee reduction applicable to JJ/WBGSP scholars. Specific agreements are signed with cooperating institutions.
The list of JJ/WBGSP host institutions is updated annually (in June) by the program’s steering committee. Academic institutions interested in hosting JJ/WBGSP scholars must submit a request to the JJ/WBGSP steering committee including:
- A formal letter signed by the head of the institution (President, Rector, Dean,…) and addressed to the Vice President of the World Bank Institute
- An information sheet presenting the academic programs eligible to the JJ/WBGSP (please fill as many pages as necessary)
- Any additional information or document supporting the request
The requests are assessed by the steering committee based on the following criteria:
- value added by the academic programs proposed
- international/regional audience
- geographical diversity
Requests must be addressed to:
Vice President, the World Bank Institute
The World Bank
1818 H Street, N.W.
Washington, DC 20433
USA
