In 2007 we have launched the Disaster Risk Management learning Program, a collaborative effort of NDCC (Natural Disaster Coordinating Council), WBI and EMI (Earthquake Megacities Initiative). During the course of one year we have offered six courses designed and developed jointly with NDCC to suit participants from Philippines. The six courses that were offered: Introduction to Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management, Safer Cities, Damage Assessment Community-based Disaster Risk Management Financing Disaster Risk, Earthquake Risk Reduction.  

 

To review the experience gained during the pilot delivery and identify directions for improvement, a one day Program Evaluation Meeting is organized with participation of representatives from NDCC, program participants and the Course Support Team. The meeting seeks input and guidance from participants of the meeting on priorities and directions for the second phase of collaboration.
