Target Audience

The Education Program of the World Bank Institute is geared to multidisciplinary teams from the Bank’s member countries that are committed to explore alternative approaches to education reform. To do so, the program targets

  • Public and private sector decision makers, and senior technical staff involved in policy making at central and decentralized government levels;
  • Staff from the World Bank and other international, bilateral and donor agencies involved in education reform initiatives, and
  • Academic and teacher development institutes

Team Work

One of the most critical elements in successful reform is the ability for teams to work together. To promote such work, the Education Program delivers regional and global offerings tailored to groups of five to six participants  representing the broader education community, and to delegations led, whenever possible, by the Ministers of Education.

Joint Staff-Client Training

It is equally important to create opportunities for country teams to attend offerings together with their respective Task Team Leaders (TTLs). By doing so, the Education Program contributes to a stronger synergy between learning, policy dialogue and sector investments, and enhances the local capacity for reform.
