The Health and AIDS Learning program targets the following audience:
-
Policy-makers and analysts in government ministries and other public institutions;
-
National Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) teams;
-
Community leaders and non-governmental organization (NGO) representatives;
-
Managers from the private sector;
-
Trainers and academics;
-
Staff from international organizations including the World Bank. Â
More specifically, the targeted audience for the Health and AIDS Program activities includes policymakers, public and private health personnel, representatives of training and academic institutions, and others involved in the delivery of health services and World Bank staff.
The training also aims to increase the dialogue among various donors involved in the financing, planning and implementation of health care provision and initiatives addressing gender disparities in health. Identification and nomination of participants for all Program training activities entail close collaboration with World Bank managers involved in country operations and related loans in the health sector. Additional consultations are conducted with representatives of donor agencies, government ministries, NGOs and private enterprises working in the World Bank’s client countries.
