This workshop aimed at creating a platform for participants to discuss the different costing tools for costing strategic and action plans as well as share experiences and challenges in costing strategic plans, operational plans and Global Fund applications.
Participants, mostly consultants who support the costing of national strategic and action plans, received “hands-on” training on the AIDS Strategy & Action Plan (ASAP) Activity-Based Costing (ABC) tool from which participants’ feedback were obtained to improve the tool. A network of costing consultants to promote "continuing education" and to create linkages with UNAIDS Technical Support Facility consultants (TSFs) and ASAP/World Bank were established during the workshop.
