This course focused on Human Resource Management (HRM) issues relevant to the health sector in India and placed special focus on HRM challenges in rural areas. It included sessions on financing, supervision and monitoring, management assessment and motivation. Issues such as institutional changes, strategic planning, priority setting and conflict resolution were taught.
The course had been customized to the Indian context and was delivered by Indian and international faculty with the support of the Harvard School of Public Health.
Pariticipants
Target audience was state level directors, assistant directors and chief medical officers from the various health departments of 8 Indian states.
