Policy Dialogue on Value Chains and SME Competitiveness in Central America

Overview

This was the fourth in a series of GDLN activities geared toward knowledge sharing and capacity building of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central America.  The GDLN was be carried out jointly by the Department for International Development (DFID), WBI and CENPROMYPE and focused on Value Chains and SME Development. The GDLN familiarized participants with the principal concepts, best practices and lessons learned on Value Chains and, in particular, how SMEs in Central America can benefit from these practices.  The GDLN was unique in the sense that the dialogue disseminated information from practical experiences of SME representatives in each of the five countries.
