June 28, 2006 - El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, and Washington, DC
Available in: Español

Overview

This was the fifth in a series of GDLN activities geared toward knowledge sharing and capacity building of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central America. This GDLN was jointly carried out by WBI and CENPROMYPE and focused on the role of business intermediaries (brokers) and product commercialization for SMEs in Central America. The GDLN familiarized participants with the principal requirements and experiences of brokers that operate in various international markets (especially USA, EU, Mexico and Chile) and discussed the various demands and options for SME products from Central America. The GDLN was unique in the sense that the dialogue disseminated information from practical experiences from brokers based in the United States and in the region.
