Central America: GDLN Policy Dialogue No. 7 on CAFTA and Agroindustry: Opportunities and Challenges for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)


Overview

On March 1st, 2007, the seventh in a series of GDLN activities geared toward knowledge sharing and capacity building of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central America was carried out jointly by WBI and CENPROMYPE. Focusing on the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) with the United States, the GDLN familiarized participants with the requirements needed to access the US market, particularly those concerning the agro-industry sector.  International and regional experts shared best practices and lessons learned about accessing and exporting to the U.S. market.
