Overview

The International Workshop on Investment Climate and SME Development in Qinghai Province and its associated consultations were the first activities in a multi-year capacity building programme that is closely linked to the Qinghai component of the China - Economic Reform Implementation Project (TCC5), and is aimed at enhancing the capacity of the Qinghai Provincial Government in formulating and implementing investment climate and SME development policies. The workshop included presentations by international experts as well as practitioners from the central government and other regions of China that have successfully undertaken investment climate reforms and SME development. It was attended by about 120 senior government officials and policy researchers with responsibilities in investment climate and SME development from Qinghai Province.
