Fostering a Conductive Investment Climate for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) in China

Overview

In China, there is a strong and growing demand for knowledge and advice on how to create an enabling environment and continuingly improve it. The GDLN workshop series in China, part of the Investment Climate Capacity Enhancement Program, is the joint program between the World Bank Institute and the Private Sector Development Vice Presidency of the World Bank. It is designed to meet the country’s specific demand.

This three-day workshop focuses on the issues related to creating a conducive business environment for enterprise development, such as: investment climate in the western provinces, role of government in improving investment climate, administrative reform and investment climate, regulatory frame for SME development, SME innovation and development, etc.  It links up the DLCs in western provinces through the CDDLN and is delivered in Chinese.
