Overview

The Tsinghua University has set up distance learning centers in the poverty stricken counties in China since 2003 with the purpose to facilitate the poverty stricken counties to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) via education and knowledge sharing.  Up to date the Network is connected with 120 remote sites located in the poor counties. Those newly established Distance Learning Centers (DLCs) are keen to learn how to use Distance Learning facilities in dealing with development challenges.  Upon the request from the Tsinghua University, WBI is going to provide a capacity building program for the remote sites, in collaboration with the School of Continuous Education, Tsinghua University.
