February 25, 2009 - China, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal

Overview

The second dialogue of a South-South learning series between China and Africa on Investment Climate for Inclusive Growth was successfully completed on February 25, 2009 linking 7 GDLN centers in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Senegal, Beijing China and Washington DC. As a follow-up of the first GDLN dialogue under this series on December 18 2008, this event provided a ground for a two-way exchange between China and six Francophone countries in Africa on Cluster and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Development Experiences.  This workshop will share the experiences of SEZs and cluster development in China and Africa, discuss the challenges, as well as explain the role of government and public policies in promoting the cluster development.
