Methodology

The K4D program has developed a web-based Knowledge Assessment Methodology (KAM) which has proven to be very popular amongst both country clients and World Bank staff. This "do-it-yourself" tool provides a preliminary knowledge economy assessment of a country, which can form the basis for more detailed knowledge economy work. The scorecards help to identify the problems and opportunities that a country faces in making the transition to the knowledge economy, and where it may need to focus policy attention or future investments.
