The study reviews a range of Bank projects from different sectors, not only those that include ICT. It provides emerging lessons of experience in including gender into projects and discusses some practical design and implementation issues project teams need to face.

World Telecommunication Development Report 2002 - Reinventing Telecoms
The sixth edition of the ITU’s World Telecommunication Development Report, specially prepared for the World Telecommunication Development Conference taking place in Istanbul, Turkey in March 2002, examines how the challenges to extend the benefits of telecommunications technologies to all the world’s inhabitants have changed, in line with changes in the market environment. A further major change is that the majority of ITU Member States have now privatized their incumbent network operator, have established an independent national regulatory agency, and allow competition in at least some part of their telecommunications market.
