The Second World Conference on Intellectual Capital for Communities. The conference was held on the June 29-30, 2006 in Paris, and brought together panelists and participants from a variety of countries. They discussed the challenges, research, global agendas and diverse issues related to Intellectual Capital for Communities in the Knowledge Economy. The brown bag lunch featured Dr. Chang-Won Jang, Senior Research Fellow of Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education Training and Joint Professor for Economics Department of Sung Kyun Kwan University. Promoting Innovation-based Growth in Russia - Role of Technology and Innovation Zones. The seminar’s objective was to discuss technology and innovation zones within a broader context of programs and policies to create business-oriented innovation system in Russia. It also presented first-hand accounts of international experience in creation and management of innovation zones in Finland, Korea and other Asian and European economies. May 2006, Moscow, Russia. 4. New Features on the K4D Website

Country-Focused Resources and Search. K4D is a global program, but we have an extensive research focus on a number of countries and regions. The website introduced summaries of K4D work programs and all available Knowledge Economy resources for:

5. Coming Up

 

Knowledge Management Capacity for African Research Institutes and Networks: Southern Africa Workshop. South Africa, November 29, 2006.  The workshop aims to strengthen the operations of Southern-African research institutes and networks. It will expose them to knowledge management concepts, tools and approaches, and help them to develop Action Plans to enhance their organizational capacity. Full Story.
