Participants:  30 representatives from the ministries of Kazakhstan and statisticians from the National Statistical Agency of Kazakhstan
Description: The training was organized in response to the request from the National Statistical Agency of Kazakhstan and the Committee for Legal Statistics of Kazakhstan. The training focused on methods of data collection and dissemination for users and producers of the statistical data in the sphere of gender-based violence and domestic violence.  Participants learned about different methods and approaches to study gender-based violence by the national statistical office. They decided which approach is best for their country, and worked out an action plan based on the best practice presented in the case studies. Participants found out and discussed what is necessary to put gender- based violence on the agenda of decision-makers in the national statistical offices.
