Parliament
World Bank Institute’s parliamentary strengthening program aims to enhance parliaments’ capacity to effectively fulfill their responsibilities, especially with regard to government policy implementation and budget oversight.

Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA)
The Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability program concentrates on the link between governance issues and poverty eradication by improving skills and raising awareness of the importance of transparency and accountability with activities aimed at key stakeholders – including ministries of finance, line ministries, local governments, supreme audit institutions, parliament, the media and civil society organizations. more more arrows


Public Expenditure Policies and Analysis

Public Management Administration and e-Government
This program highlights alternative approaches and arrangements in public management, elaborating on lessons from international practices in implementing in incentive framework and institutional capability to improving performance in service provision at different levels of government. more more arrows


Tax Policy and Administration
This program builds on previous Bank work on tax policy in developing countries and addresses a number of key issues in tax policy reform, such as designing a simple tax system; designing an efficient VAT tax system; the use of special tax incentives; treatment of special sectors (such as agriculture and small businesses) in a tax system; and the challenge of designing a system that reduce opportunities for corruption. more more arrows


Youth and Good Governance
