Seminar on Parliaments and Financial Oversight: Tools and Mechanisms for Optimum Budget Analysis

In collaboration with the Parliamentary Centre, the World Bank Institute held an activity entitled “Parliaments and Financial Oversight: Tools and Mechanisms for Optimum Budget Analysis,”  from March 3 - 7, 2008 in Accra, Ghana.  This learning activity was designed to improve the knowledge of parliamentarians and senior parliamentary staff on issues relating to fiscal and financial accountability.  This learning activity was attended by approximately 17 participants from Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Sudan and Uganda, including committee Chairs, Members of Parliament and senior parliamentary staff, as well as resource people.
