Seminar on Public Account Committee

In collaboration with the Canadian Comprehensive Auditing Foundation (CCAF), the World Bank Institute will hold a seminar on Public Account Committee scheduled to take place from May 13-15, 2008 inDhaka, Bangladesh. This learning activity is designed to build both knowledge and capacity for effective governance, and meaningful accountability, management and audit. Workshop participants will consist of members of the Bangladeshi PAC, parliamentary staff supporting the work of the Bangladeshi PAC, and staff of the Bangladeshi Audit Office. The aim of targeting support to the PAC and the Audit Office is to strengthen oversight of the government and public officials in Bangladesh with respect to the budget cycle.
