The public management program includes division of fiscal powers, local governance, results based management and accountability and public finance management, and combating corruption.
- Governance, general. The objective is to manage for results and ensure efficiency and integrity of operations. Alternative approaches and practices for results based accountability are highlighted.
- Multi-level Governance and Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations. The objective is to share knowledge on principles and practices with a view to assist client countries conduct a review of the roles and responsibilities of various orders (levels) of government and structure intergovernmental finance to improve public services delivery performance and ensuring integrity of government operations.
- Local Governance. The aim is to disseminate better practices in local government organization and finance with a view to creating responsive, responsible, and accountable local governance. The program covers demand side approaches to strengthening local governance.
- Public finance management. The program covers budgeting and budgetary institutions including performance budgeting, public financial management, audits and evaluations and combating corruption.
