Water Expo 2008, which launched June 14 in Zaragoza, Spain, bringing together more than 2,000 international experts on water to debate and find solutions for today's challenges of managing water and sustaining development.
Through the Water Tribune, which provided the Expo’s intellectual foundation, scientists, technicians, administrators and users, entrepreneurs, politicians, philosophers, academics, researchers, communicators, intellectuals and students gathered over 10 themed weeks to review existing approaches, propose and debate solutions and explore innovation as they relate to 25 themes concerning water.
Wishing to share these ideas and solutions with a global audience, the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN)Â and the World Bank have teamed with the Expo's Water Tribune to broadcast these sessions to the five continents from the Virtual Pavilion.
