About Iretomiwa K. Olatunji

Iretomiwa Kazeem Olatunji is a Nigerian national who is currently working as a consultant focusing on water, agriculture and climate adaptation with the World Bank Institute’s Water Program in Washington, DC.

He is involved in budget preparation for fundraising activities, as well as portfolio monitoring, project analysis, research and administration. He also actively participates in efforts to raise client countries’ awareness of training and capacity building activities provided by the Water Team.

His regional work experience in Africa has been an invaluable asset to WBI. Prior to joining WBI, Iretomiwa worked with the Agriculture and Rural Development Anchor of the World Bank, whose duties included analysis, research and administrative assistance.

He has more than 10 years of professional experience spanning over multiple areas, such as agricultural and project management, strategic and operational planning of programs, technical consulting in agriculture and project analysis. He has conducted expertise work in project preparation, implementation and procurement of goods and services as well as shared in knowledgeable dialogue exchanges with clients with a high level of professionalism.

Iretomiwa is currently working on two graduate degrees: an MBA in management and an MS in environmental management. His undergraduate degree is in agriculture, with a focus on agricultural sustainability and animal production and health.

In his spare time, he enjoys training youths in Taekwondo, being a highly skilled martial artist with a 3rd Dan black belt, and has served in the community for youth development and empowerment.
