Born in Belgrade in 1965. Graduated from HEC business studies and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Paris, France in 1987. Received MBA at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA, in 1991. He worked as a privatization and banking sector advisor to the Russian, Romanian and Polish governments in 1991-1993. Partner with McKinsey&Company, the strategic management consultancy, in Paris and Silicon Valley Offices from 1993 to 2000.
Minister of Finance and Economy in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, from 2001 to 2004. Director for Central Europe at Credit Agricole SA Group, from 2005 to 2007. From May 2007 until July 2008 he held the position of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, being in charge of European integration, sustainable development, poverty reduction strategy implementation, cooperation with international financial institutions.
Currently holding the position of Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European integration and Minister of Science and Technological Development. Recognizing his achievements in business and politics, the World Economic Forum (Davos) nominated him as Young Global Leader for the period 2005-2010. Speaks French, English, Russian, Polish and German. Father of two daughters.
