Office of the Executive Director for Japan - EDS02

Japan has played an important role since it joined the World Bank Group on August 13, 1952.  Along with the other members of the office, the Executive Director represents Japan in Board meetings at the World Bank and engages in consultations and negotiations with other Executive Directors in efforts to gain support for the World Bank's mission of reducing poverty.
