Kecamatan Development Project 
 
The Kecamatan Development Project's objectives are to raise rural incomes, strengthen kecamatan and village government and community institutions, and to build public infrastructure through labor intensive methods. The first of four components consists of block grants to kecamatans. Technical assistance for implementation, including National Management Consultants, Province Management Consultants, and the Kabupaten Engineers, makes up the second component. The third and forth components consist of monitoring and policy studies, respectively.**
